Wichita Falls Area Disaster Recovery Committee
The Wichita Falls Area Disaster Recovery Committee (WFADRC) was formed after the summer floods of 2007 that affected Archer and Wichita Counties. It currently operates under the nonprofit umbrella of Interfaith Ministries, Inc., which is the fiscal agent. WFADRC was established to assess the unmet needs of flood victims, coordinate relief efforts, seek available funding and coordinate reconstruction and relocation activities. The committee is made up of representatives of faith communities, nonprofits, companies and individuals. Volunteer caseworkers provide linkage to assistance including counseling, coordination of care, household items and furnishings, home repair and replacement.
Vision: To meet the long term recovery needs of persons affected by disasters in our communities.
Mission to reach that vision: We advocate and provide coordinated management and long term recovery assistance for persons affected by disasters.
